Charles "the Lone Eagle" Lindbergh was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 2, 1902. On May 20-21, 1927 he flew across the Atlantic ocean by himself from Long Island to Paris. There was a 25,000 dollar prize to whoever accomplished this feat first, and he did it. I think Lindbergh's biggest impact to world history was he started an aviation revolution. After his flight every country in the world started advancing flight. That is why between World War 1 and World War two, the planes became much more advanced and thus used a lot more. Charles' biggest contribution to aviation is he proved that flying across the Atlantic could be done alone. After this, companies started flying across the ocean and we flew bombing runs on Germany in World War 2.
